- Total Time: 1 hour, 35 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, onion, and garlic until cooked through.
- Remove any excess fat.
- Combine cooked sausage mixture, cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, thyme, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- In the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Half of the sausage mixture should be poured over the potatoes.
- Layer the remaining potatoes and sausage mixture on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes, covered with foil.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is browned and bubbly.
