Gluten Free Potato Casserole with Sausage and Cheese Recipe

This hearty and satisfying casserole is ideal for a gluten-free family dinner. A filling and delicious meal is created by combining savory sausage, creamy cheese, and tender potatoes.

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 hour, 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 35 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, onion, and garlic until cooked through.
  • Remove any excess fat.
  • Combine cooked sausage mixture, cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, thyme, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  • In the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  • Half of the sausage mixture should be poured over the potatoes.
  • Layer the remaining potatoes and sausage mixture on top.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, covered with foil.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is browned and bubbly.
